Champaign-Urbana's longest-running weekly Irish traditional music
session led by Jake Schumacher.

The session focuses on the traditional dance music of Ireland--jigs,
reels, hornpipes, waltzes and much more--played on authentic Irish
instruments including fiddle, button accordion, concertina, pipes
and tenor banjo. Throughout the evening occasional songs are sung, stories are told, and often dancing starts during the second hour (sets, polkas and waltzes).

Musicians with some experience in playing Irishmusic are welcome, and those with an interest in learning to play Irish music are encouraged to come and listen, as well as all who enjoy Irish and Irish-American culture, food and drink. Upcoming event in Downtown Champaign…Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and supporting local bands!

Dublin O'Neil's is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day 2013 with a 2 day street fest on the corner of Neil and Hill St.

They will have live music from bands such as Outbound Drive, XKrush, Nickel and Dimes, and we will finish the weekend off with a Dropkick Murphy/Flogging Molly Tribute Band Out of Chicago Red Rebel County.

They will have food, drink, and live music all weekend long. The Fest Will Start At 2pm on Saturday The 16th and Go Until Midnight, and the same on St. Patrick’s Day the 17th.

When: Saturday 16th & St. Patrick’s Day the 17th from 2pm-midnight both days
