Live Jazz performance at the Rose Bowl Tavern presented by The Illinois Flamenco-Jazz Collective

Join as at the Rose Bowl for the Urbana Flamenco-Jazz Reunion!

This event features guitarist David Chiriboga and Sammi Micklewright of Chicago’s Ensemble Español Spanish Dance and Theater Troupe. They will be reunited for this performance with the all-star jazz ensemble of the Illinois Flamenco-Jazz Project (IFJP) and the community-based music and dance performers of the Illinois Flamenco-Jazz Collective (IFJC). Together they blend the in-the-moment excitement of traditional flamenco music with the improvisational techniques and orchestral colors of jazz.

You are invited to join us at the Rose Bowl Tavern for this special event. The Rose Bowl Tavern is located at 106 N. Race Street in Urbana.

* Show is rain or shine! Weather permitting, it will be outside on the parking lot patio. Dress for the weather.

* Please follow CDC guidelines.

* Beverages available for purchase. You may bring your own food to the event.

* The show is free of charge, but tips for the band would be appreciated (cash or added to your tab).

This event is sponsored by The Urbana Free Library, the Spurlock Museum of World Cultures (with support from the Illinois Arts Council), the Rose Bowl Tavern, a grant from Urbana Arts and Culture, and with in-kind support from the Robert E. Brown Center for World Music and UPTV.
