FALL 2020 Greeting

Greetings from The Robert E. Brown Center for World Music!

As we welcome and navigate this unprecedented Fall 2020 semester, the center renews its commitment in celebrating the great diversity of folkloric music throughout the world, as well as sonic extensions of these traditions.

The challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic may have slowed down our ability to present live, in-person music experiences for campus and community, but we are excited by the possibilities of creating new, original programming that can be digitally delivered during this extraordinary time.

Our community calendar will continue to be populated with folkloric and international music events occurring online, as well as those scheduled for in-person outdoor and distanced enjoyment in and around our area. Please be in touch if you have a related event you’d like to have added to our calendar.

May the music be the magic of a secret world within that inspires our days ahead…
