CWM Programming Cancelled During COVID-19

As an engagement program of the School of Music at the University of Illinois, The Robert E. Brown Center for World Music is following the established and evolving protocols of our institution to safeguard our community from COVID-19.

We have cancelled all of our programming for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. This includes community gamelan, Afro-Brazilian drumming workshops, and end-of-semester gamelan concert.

Our colleagues across campus have cancelled or postponed our collaboratively sponsored programming including WorldFest at Spurlock Museum, and the Sun Ra Arkestra concert as part of the Planetary Imaginaries conference hosted by The Unit for Criticism & Interpretive Theory.

We look forward to returning to our programming in Fall 2020. Please return to our website for updates.

Thank you for your continued support.
