Steven Sogo is a singer from the central African country of Burundi who sings about life, love, and peace in a style that mixes traditional Burundian music with jazz, blues, and pop. A virtuoso bass guitarist and a master of numerous traditional instruments, Sogo sings in Kirundi, Swahili, and French. Steven Sogo last appeared at Krannert Center with The Nile Project in March 2015.
