In 1998, Richard Martin and Meagan Hennessey founded Archeophone Records, a label dedicated to restoring and preserving the music of the acoustic era. Their releases have been nominated for twelve Grammy awards, and their 2006 compilation "Lost Sounds: Blacks and the Birth of the Recording Industry, 1891-1922," won the Grammy award for Best Historical Album. Martin and Hennessey will discuss acoustic-era history and their process for restoring and releasing these forgotten pieces of American popular culture.
