The Jupiter String Quartet will present the Bartok Cycle around campus in conjunction with lectures and discussions led by Illinois scholars from the School of Music. Of particular interest to REEEC faculty and students will be the Bartok Cycle Concert 3 with Donna Buchanan.
Concert 1 Wednesday, November 4, 7:30pm - Quartets #2 and #4 w/ William Kinderman (Memorial Room, Smith Memorial Hall)
Concert 2 Saturday, November 7, 2pm - Quartets #3 and #6 w/ Stephen Taylor (Rosann Gelvin Noel Gallery, Krannert Art Museum)
Concert 3 Sunday, November 8, 2pm - Quartets #1 and #5 w/ Donna Buchanan (Spurlock Museum)
Lectures begin at 7:30 pm and 2 pm with performance and discussion to follow.
